Natural properties of Merino wool provide insulating and sweat-wicking functions while the mix of synthetics ensures long-lasting durability. Long Johns LITE were made to provide insulation and moisture vapor regulation with a unique design – only one lengthwise seam and no inseam! The smooth elastic waistband has the Woolpower logo knitted-in.
Woolpower LITE is their thinnest fabric. It is a tighter 1.1-rib knitwear material, which means it doesn’t insulate in the same way as our Ullfrotté Original fabric, but creates a fabric that is cooler even though LITE contains more wool. Woolpower LITE works best worn directly against the body as a base layer, even if the weather is a little warmer the wool helps to cool down the body.
We think this is a great layer under a layering system, when conditions are cold also, and you are static or low to moderate movement.
